Easter Egg Hunt Last minute

I always feel last minute even when I have planned for weeks.  This morning was the last minute touches for the hunt.  The eggs go hidden very last so we are heading to do that. 

Last night my kids dipped the Peeps in chocolate.  I used the Bakers semi sweet chocolate, it tastes great and looks good too.

That should do it.  Have a good Easter and enjoy your families.  Remember Christ  and share it with your children.

Peeps Candy jar

This is as far as I have gotten today.  I made a pretty jar of candy that my kids can't touch.  Everyday they pick it up and stare at it in longing for these cute peeps.  I actually made the the cute stand from, once again, Dollar tree plate and candle holder.  I painted the plate and glued them together, then painted them again.  I love it.  I have always wanted a pretty cake stand now I made one for $2. 

Here is the plate and holder.  Do not paint the top as it is for the food.  It did look great clear as well.

I use the 7800 glue for it as it is clear as well. 

Tomorrow I will be getting ready for the Easter party Saturday.

PEEPS!

Peeps!  I love peeps.  They are long awaited for just in time for spring.  I found some great fabric baby blankets at the dollar store {of course} and thought they would be perfect for making peeps for Easter.

 The fabric is so soft, my son said they feel like marshmallow.

 I just drew a shape I liked and cut it out of the blanket.

 I also cut a strip of fabric about 2 inches wide, and pinned it to sew.

 I made French knot eyes and mouth. and added the ribbon that came with the blanket. 

 They aren't perfect but how cozy they are.  My boys love them and they are so cute. 

Even little man loves them, and you can see how soft they are.
